Ok today I am inspired by Danny Williams and the lunchcrunch.org and as a result, I have knocked up a 1 hour quick sculpt.

Ok and now time for the video.

Okay Zbrush hint for all of you old school Zbrush users when doing a mesh extract in 4.2 Revision b Pixologic have now added an accept button. In order to get your mesh extraction you must click Accept after you click Extract.

Having not noticed this button as I have extract set up on a hot key I hope this information will save your computer from getting sworn at and hours of frustration.

OK the shock now has a reservoir attached for no other reason than I wanted to explore the process of making it and the frame is under construction. I must admit having built and played with motorcycles in the real world for more years than I can remember to be able to make one in 3D is great fun especially as I don't have to stick to the rule book. The other great thing about building virtual motorcycles is that it doesn't cost me anything to change the look of the front end I can run with a standard SR 500 front end change my mind 5 minutes later and give it a GSXR upside down set-up or even make it into a springer front end should the desire occur. Also I have never seen a café racer with a single sided swinging arm and mono shock and I am getting tempted hahaha. So to the purists out there that may be looking at my blog and saying oh it must have this or is must do that I apologise but this is an exercise in hard surface modelling in Zbrush not is SR 500 construction/restoration. Back into Zbrush for me and I will post images/videos when I have them.

Ok I am exploring Zbrush's hard surface modeling abilities at the moment and have decided to build a café racer in order to do this. Having messed around with motorcycles for more years than I care to remember. I figure that I should work with something I am familiar with so I am basing my café racer on a Yamaha SR 500 one of my favourite single cylinder thumpers. If I can remember to do so I will also endeavour to do a time-lapse recording of it's creation and will add the recording to my blog.

Ok next thing to do is to sit down and work out how to get this blog to format in a way I want it too rather than what it seems to like ie: any old random fashion.
Ok well here it is 4th Jan 2012 New years resolution is to get my sh1t together this year and build up my web presence and develop a site with my art hosted on it. That being said here are a couple of renders of a goblin sculpt I have been working on recently. The original concept for the character came from a friend of mine, an artist of rare talent Mr Lee Carter you can find his work here http://www.lee-carter.co.uk/.

Yes I am well aware that this goblin does not look much like a goblin considering they are traditionally a lot greener in skin colouring this will change as he develops.
